ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) has become one of the most commonly used transparent conducting oxides, with applications in a range of areas and industries. The most common use of ITO coatings are in touchscreen technology for smartphones, tablets and other electrical appliances.
The optical transparency and electrical conductivity that using ITO provides has led to this extensive use, as well as the relative ease by which it can be deposited onto substrates such as glass, plastic and thin film.
Indium Tin Oxide coatings for touchscreens are used in both capacitive and resistive touchscreens. These two types of touchscreen technology have different mechanics and both offer advantages that make each more suited to certain applications and products.
Resistive & Capacitive Touch Displays & Touch Screens
We provide completed resistive touch displays and touchscreens which offer variable X-Y touch-point detection and approximately 70% visible transmission. Fully shielded touch displays and screens are also available.
Capacitive screens offer approximately 90% visible transmission, which is higher than that of resistive screens. Our technology allows us to manufacture capacitive screens and displays with visible transmission rates comparable to those of glass or uncoated plastics. Strong professional relationships with manufactures of chips enable us to supply customers with the complete product.
