Indium Tin Oxide Coated Touch Screen

Indium Tin Oxide Coated Touch Screen

Touch screens are as common in our lives now as TVs and toasters, we use a touch screen on a daily basis – the most common use being of course our cell-phones and tablets.

Other applications include ATMs, visual displays, supermarket checkouts and may other touch related devices. The majority of these utilise ITO, or Indium Tin Oxide in its longform.

ITO is absolutely perfect as it is optically transparent and highly conductive, allowing a device to register different touches as commands when there is a change of the electrical current on the conductive layer of the screen’s surface.

An Indium Tin Oxide coated touch screen is also relatively robust – tough enough to withstand daily usage on both personal and public devices.

Resistive Indium Tin Oxide Coated Touch Screen

Resistive ITO touch screens enable completely variable X-Y detection of touch points, and we can provide ready-to-use, complete X-Y resistive touch screens including all bonding, connections and patterning, as well as offering fully shielded ITO touch screens.

Capacitive Indium Tin Oxide Coated Touch Screen

Capacitive ITO touch screens have higher visible transmission (approximately 90%) than resistive ITO touch screens, which have a visible transmission of approximately 70%. Using index matching technology, we can produce capacitive touch screens with a visible transmission equal to that of uncoated plastic or glass.

Diamond Coatings ITO Coated Touch Screens

ITO Touch is a division of global ITO Coatings supplier Diamond Coatings. We can provide screens from development to production volumes in both resistive and capacitive touch screens.

These are available in sizes up to 1,000 mm x 1,000 mm, with the screens produced on plastic (flexible or rigid) or glass and also provided with anti-glare or other required finishes.
